Brief Introducation

Dr. Shakeel Chowdhry is a dual fellowship trained and board certified neurosurgeon at Endeavor Health in Chicago, a nine hospital system with three comprehensive stroke centers, the second largest healthcare employer in the state of Illinois. He heads Endeavor Neurological Institute’s Cerebrovascular and Endovascular Services as the section chief of cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery. He also is Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. As an experienced cerebrovascular neurosurgeon, he has led numerous clinical trials in cerebrovascular neurosurgery. Dr. Chowdhry uses the latest technology to see treat his patients, enabling him to operate with increased safety for better patient outcomes. He graduated with honors from Harvard University with a degree in biochemistry, followed by his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. His endovascular fellowship training was done at Case Western Reserve University and his cerebrovascular and skull base fellowship was completed at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona under Dr. Robert Spetzler.
